For Charlotte, it is the small changes in everyday life that are important, and she believes that we must constantly practice making the conscious choices become obvious. Charlotte knows what she's talking about, as a lifestyle coach, lecturer, yoga teacher and co-author of the award-winning book The good food (appointed as the health book of the year 2023 by the Måltidsakademin) she always has many projects to balance between. Then it is important, says Charlotte, to sometimes be able to let go of control and rest in what is. At Moonsun, we are in awe of Charlotte's wonderful radiance and energy - meet her here in our interview series Curious on...
Describe yourself with three words.
Energetic, inclusive and curious.
What fills your days right now?
Right now I'm trying to get ready and finish as much as possible so I can have some real time off during the holidays. There are trips to be produced for Go Active Travel , the last yoga classes before the holidays and follow-up of some clients I coached. In addition, I like to be prepared for the fall, so I plan upcoming lectures and trips, as well as other assignments.
What does a perfect day look like to you?
I wake up rested early, preferably as early as 05:15 - read my book and the news and drink black coffee. Then I do yoga, run or power walk before I wake the kids up and make sure they get going. After such a morning, the day usually flows with good energy and a fast pace, regardless of whether it is work or leisure. A really perfect day also means some rest after lunch, preferably in the sun, and conversations or time to hang out IRL with family and close friends. The day should preferably end with plenty of time to prepare a good dinner.
What is your best everyday tip for better health and balance?
Good sleep - if sleep doesn't work, the rest won't either.
Meaningfulness - use your mindset to find meaning in everything you do - then you will have energy and focus to get things done, take on challenges and have time for other things
Everyday exercise - include some kind of physical activity every day, and preferably several times during the day
Eat colorful - colorful food comes mainly from plant-based ingredients such as fruit, vegetables, spices, nuts and seeds, which is a good basis for getting fibre, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Then top the plate with protein and good fats.
Have fun - find a balanced lifestyle and don't let anything take over, whether it's exercise, relationships, work or Netflix. Break what you're stuck in and do something else fun with someone.
